وَ قَالَ (عليه السلام): إِنَّ اللَّهَ سُبْحَانَهُ وَضَعَ الثَّوَابَ عَلَي طَاعَتِهِ وَ الْعِقَابَ عَلَي مَعْصِيَتِهِ ذِيَادَةً لِعِبَادِهِ عَنْ نِقْمَتِهِ وَ حِيَاشَةً لَهُمْ إِلَي جَنَّتِهِ
Amir al-Mu'minin, peace be upon him, said: Allah, the Glorified, has laid down reward for obeience to Him and punishment for commiting sins against Him in the order to save men from His chastisement and to drive them towards Paradise.
